The Colorado River is in and of itself an icon.  Capturing a unique image of it is most definitely a challenge.  But winter provides so many different looks to all places and this is no exception

Using a long exposure technique to capture the foreground rocks and background Cottonwood silhouettes with the river drifting by gave me the dimensions and mood that I wanted.  This was a very quiet day, after a day of cold and wintery weather, and the fresh, untracked snow softened the scene for me.

This is a different piece for me.  It is a metallic finished paper, and the work is framed in a black, lacquered frame without any glass to separate you from the art.  It is ready to hang in any setting.
